…looking toward Normanville from the intersection of Kemmiss Hill Road and Newbolds Road.
Summer time in South Australia especially from December to February at the height of the holiday season is such a great time to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful beaches, the food and wines of the Southern Fleurieu region.
Kemmiss Road leaves the north eastern corner of Yankalilla and immediately climbs up the Southern Mt Lofty Ranges toward Kemmiss Hill and Myponga Conservation Park. Driving along this steepish road above Yankalilla in mid-summer provides some wonderful views in all directions of the region where the dry clear Australian summer sky, the calm morning sea and the golden grass contrasts delightfully with the scrubby trees, the pink/orange road and the rolling hills are all synonymous with this under-promoted region.
You cannot get lost here!
