The exhibition is to be held in a lovely dine-in coffee shop called ‘Public Grind’ at 316 Highett Road Highett – and is titled: “At the Window – the Artists View” – an exhibition that includes nine of my landscape paintings….. mostly of the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia.
Amongst the nine paintings is one recently completed titled River Red Gum on Cullyamurra Water Hole at Innamincka – having recently returned from an adventure to the Red Centre including a drive down the Cordillo Downs Road from Birdsville to Innamincka.
Public Grind’s opening hours are from 7.00am each Monday to Saturday, and from 7.30am on Sundays. The coffee, service and quality of the food are worth making the time to go and experience this great little cafe.
Only a stone’s through from Highett Railway Station and sitting on the somewhat narrow Highett Road amongst a number of other high quality cafes this cafe proves to be no exception to the rule.
For me it is the calm friendly and swift service that causes me and many others to return time after time. Grace, Brooke, Fab and the delightful waiting staff all make you feel very welcome at Public Grind. Parking is always easy to find alongside the cafe.
